I first reported this smell about 5 years ago.  Lots of people came out and presumably sought to resolve the problem and, again presumably, were satisfied they had as they cleared up and went away.  A day or two later there was a strong smell of gas from not only at the bus stop but also nearer Edensor Road, still within the non-existent Alexandra Avenue.  I reported it again on the website.  Nothing happened for a year even though the smell was quite apparent all that time.  Then the gasmen came to work on the North side of the junction of Alexandra Avenue and Burlington Lane.  I mentioned the gas smell in AA to them..."not interested mate", I paraphrase.  For the last couple of years I have been expecting a massive explosion.  Huge relief to hear it is all under control now.
