I would book a little way out of the town as apparently in the summer it is heaving with thousands of tourists from cruise boats docking there. I went in December and it was blissfully quiet and surprisingly warm. It is a beautiful town and there are lots of lovely little villages and islands to visit, there will be scheduled tours you can book. We went to some lovely places in Montenegro and the history of Dubrovnik and the surrounding areas is fascinating, it is hard to believe that so much war damage occurred the town as it has been rebuilt in exactly the same style. Walking the walls is a must, and it is worth going to see the bridge at Mostar. |
