They're called spec chains (or cords) and I can't recommend NOT using one enough. Hanging your spex round your neck is a short route to new spex (perhaps I should recommend them!) You will squash when you carry something close to your chest, when you hug someone, they'll get twisted when you take your pullover off... Don't do it, especially if they are rimless. There ought to be a law.
