If you want a good breakfast I would Annies is the best followed by Strand on the Green cafe. Annies is excellent for dinner too although not the cheapest. Strand on the Green does a standard type of lunch (sandwiches and the like) but does excellent Thai food at night. (Booking often needed) The Bulls Head is cheap, plain and ok for quick eat lunch items such as standard fair burgers and the like but it's Sunday roast leaves a lot to be desired. That is where the City Barge comes into its own as the roasts are very good. Not as good as the White Hart in Barnes but close. Bell in Crown is my local but they often seem to have a smell of fish knocking about which may or may not put you off. I don't love the smell to be honest. All my opinion of course but hopefully it helps. |
