If that's closed, how would diverted traffic get into Barrowgate Road?  I assumed that all eastbound A4 traffic would turn left into Sutton Lane North, then right at the mini-roundabout into Barrowgate Road, then right into Sutton Court Road.  The reference to closing Sutton Lane North perhaps means closed to southbound traffic.

As Mary discovered, the work is listed at http://public.londonworks.gov.uk/roadworks/ and is only between 10pm and 5am.  But if you're searching that site by street, enter "Great West Road, Brentford"!
