| I'd like to see the TfL statement in full, but can't find anything about this work on the TfL site. TfL are quoted as saying "We plan to introduce eastbound lane closures between the River Brent on the M4 and Sutton Court Road on the A4 from 22:30 on Monday 30 November until 05:00 on Saturday 5 December 2015, depending on weather conditions." That suggests to me that they will restrict the eastbound elevated section of M4 to one lane only, in other words restricting the flow to the capacity of Barrowgate Road, and using the 3-lane section of M4 to hold the enormous queue that will develop. What is not explained is how they will handle the right turn from Barrowgate Road to Sutton Court Road which conflicts with northbound traffic on SCR. Has anyone seen any more details than are in the news report on this site? |
