'I had no option but to call the police as I was being harassed and felt threatened.' I'm sure it was a bit of a surprise but to be honest, if I felt threatened by an individual or group, I wouldn't get out of my vehicle or stand in my open doorway on the phone. Other than that, I wonder how Councillor Curran feels about the bin outside his own front door - I'm sure he thinks it makes a fine addition to the road. One way he and others could avoid having to have one is to have a gate which opens the other way into the property i.e. one which blocks off the 'open' part of the small frontage instead of opening against the side wall to the property. There are two people I know of in the road who have not had to have a bin because of this particular gate arrangement (which seems a pretty odd way to have hung one's gate but there you are). |
