I don't know where you get that from. I think there's a massive difference between reusing (one) underused already existing plane and commissioning two brand new purpose built planes, no matter who the PM is at the time, wouldn't you say? And at a time when jobs are being list and cuts are being made elsewhere, wouldn't you say that doing something with the aim of saving £775,000 a year is more laudable than doing nothing? If it turns out to have cost more, then they will have a case to answer, but at the moment it seems like they are doing something with the aim of curtailing costs, rather than increasing them. |
