I am confused about the rights and wrongs of box junctions. The newsletter claims that "The Highway Code states you should never enter one unless you can clear it without stopping, the exception being when turning right." That appears to mean that if I'm heading west down the High Road and want to turn right into Turnham Green Terrace, I can enter the box junction WITHOUT having to clear it immediately. Similarly, if I want to turn right at the top of Chiswick Lane. Can this be right? |
