| Where housing is concerned I do agree with Keith, it was an appalling failure of the Labour government, especially their espousing of the housing associations as landlords. God alone knows local councils have their faults but when it comes to housing management they are streets ahead of housing associations who all seem to be run by people strong on words and theory and short on practical knowledge. The only thing that will get us out of this mess, is massive building by councils, using new technology and cheaper methods of building, and forcing landlords/owners of empty properties to either sell, refurb. and let, or have them compulsorily purchased. |
