The whole concept is ridiculous and more of a expensive 'Roy of the Rovers' storyline than a viable plan. He wasn't ready for international rugby never mind the world cup. In the day, many Welshmen travelled north to try their hand at rugby league. They had to slowly learn their trade and opportunities arose if they eventually proved themselves. A model that seemed to work very successfully? I don't blame the player. The coaching team are responsible for this failure and England's catastrophic world cup? That said, I'm not entirely sure that Lancaster needs replacing. |
