| I have just had a call purporting to be a police officer at Hammersmith Police Stn who "has two suspects in custody" on whom they have found a debit card with my name - they have checked the registered address as mine and want to check out further info. I asked his name and he gave a "DC Morris" I asked his service number which he also gave. I asked for his station telephone number so I could call him back and he said "just call 101" and you will get me - presumably as he intended not to put the phone down and end the call. I got land line number for Hamm Police station on internet where officer said this had been a total scam and they had heard of it. Be warned! |
