Remember, remember...

... it’s Kew Village Market day on 1st November – that’s this Sunday! There’ll be 38 stalls selling the finest, freshest foodie treats and beautiful local crafts, so why not steal a march on your Christmas shopping with the sort of original gifts you won’t find on the high street?  Handmade by Hilde will have Scandi-style sweaters and hats to keep little ones warm, Jo Beckett’s simple, stylish (and microwave safe) ceramics make perfect presents, and Witts  Design’s scarves and cushions ooze individuality.  The full list of November’s stallholders is on our website: www.kewvillagemarket.org.

You could also stock up on KVM’s cotton eco-bags to beat the plastic bag charge and support good causes at the same time. All the profits from the bags, books and cards sold on KVM’s own stall are donated to local charities. Talking of which, we’ll have two charity stalls this month: for Homelink (who give great support to carers in the borough); and for Kew Community Trust and Kew Neighbourhood Association whose combined efforts offer a social lifeline to so many otherwise isolated local people.

There’s the best street food too (such as Abycina’s scrumptious vegetarian hot dishes and Carolyn Dawson’s wonderfully warming soups) and live music from groove-driven band Shifty Little Sister – so why not hang out for lunch and enjoy the sociable way to start your Christmas shopping!

Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday 1st November from 10am to 2pm!
