| Councillors tend to stay out of the way when it comes to appeals, unless they are supporting the Council. Although I recall the rather amusing time one Councillor on what was then the Central Hounslow Area Committee voted (as did all his fellow Councillors) for an enforcement notice to be served, and yet then turned up at the subsequent appeal hearing with the appellants, which led me to insist that the Inspector clarify the basis upon which said Councillor was attending. |
