Are most people so rich that they can throw away food as we are doing in this country? The answer in most cases is yes but is it morally wrong? It's not just the 7 million tonnes every year but all the resources to produce it, and the waste of land usage and the damage to wildlife. Should we try to do more to reduce wastage? Or is it that we simply don't care or just have other matters to attend to? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-34647454 You can watch Hugh's War on Waste on BBC One, on Monday 2 November at 21:00, or catch up afterwards on iPlayer |
