When I took my family touring in France & Spain for a fortnight last year I paid £75.47 for medical insurance for the four of us (even though we all had European Health Insurance Cards (EHIC)) to cover anything beyond minor treatment needs. Depending on the age of the traveller, his medical history, and the country of origin (presumably not EU if he only needs basic health cover, which would be covered by an EHIC) he ought to be able to find someone in his home country willing to provide cover for less than £200. |
