| So another development proposal fills Chiswick with horror - will it be built anyway after the objections have added an extra few million to the overall cost?. What's the solution?. How about this?, there are 31,000 people in Chiswick, £100 each provides a fund of 3 million for the Chiswick development company - run by CHRAG, the Gunnersbury group etc etc. This new company buys sites that become available in Chiswick and build the sort of tasteful modern development that we need - Costs will be lower because all developments will be completely acceptable. Obviously some people can't afford 100 pounds, but some can afford more. Hopefully a profit will be made, enough to pay a dividend and buy the next plot that becomes available. Simples. If you can't beat them - join them. |
