An entrance on Wellesley Road would be handy for locals, but I agree that it wouldn't do anything about overcrowding as the vast majority of passengers are going to and from the Business Park.

Another short term measure would be to remove or move the waiting area at the end of the platform by the stairway. It creates a bottleneck with very little room between the waiting area and the edge of the platform and I have a concern that someone will be pushed off the platform as a result of crowds of people leaving at the same time as people are arriving.

I agree that the only real long term solution would be to reinstate a platform with an additional stairway by taking space from one of the car parks but as you say, the owners will want to get full value from this, such as permission to develop the rest of the car parks into housing.

It is only going to get worse  Local development means more people.  District line re-signalling will increase the frequency of trains.  An Overground interchange at Old Oak Common with Crossrail (and maybe HS2) will mean even more connections to Gunnersbury.
