Dukes Meadows Trust volunteers do various maintenance on Dukes Meadows every two weeks. Last week we finished pruning the hedge along Riverside Drive. Autumn is a particularly busy time, with lots of pruning and tidying to do, plus planting new trees, shrubs and bulbs.
This Sunday we will be pruning and tidying the shrub beds in the playground. We welcome new volunteers; if you'd like to come along you'll find us in the Dukes Meadows Community Centre car park, beside the market at 11am or out in the park. Children are welcome, if accompanied and supervised by an adult. Wear clothes suitable for working and the weather. All tools and a practical and safety brief provided.
