That explains to a point a possible reason why,and you may not have had to Bluetooth icon showing in the tray over time would not have known it was switched on or even though about Bluetooth altogether. I hope this thread was not seen as an attack on yourself but as you pointed out to that fact that awareness does work,it possibly then has had a small outcome other than your laptop missing and car damage. I personally would not encourage valuables to be left in a car even if out of sight, and those are my thoughts, but i myself was trying to understand how someone would know you have something in the boot other than by chance which i think is slim in this scenario. Being that most people would have a laptop shut down when out of the home environment and not in use,the fact that it was indeed in sleep mode points that way,but i state below my thoughts. As far as i am aware but not 100% certain,i must add, standby puts the computer into a shut down mode where a fall boot is not required when started up but power is powered down. Sleep mode puts computer into a mode with low power consumption being used but is still officially on and detectable over Bluetooth. Bluetooth devices are available to wake a pc from sleep mode and not standby mode by enabling Bluetooth HID wake function within windows. |
