" it is not particularly handy for public transport and it will be impossible to get a parking space even as a resident." The site has a Public Transport Accessibility Level (PTAL) score equivalent to 6 out of 9 so not bad and a better score than most of Grove Park. Gunnersbury is about 10 minutes walk, Kew Bridge station a bit less and there are 5 bus routes within a few minutes. As for car parking, it is a mistake to assume this is essential. The majority of households in London don't have a car and car ownership and use has been dropping steadily over the last 10 years, particularly amongst younger age groups.. With the residential development by the new stadium likely to go ahead in some shape or form, an influx of people should eventually mean more amenities in the area. With the demand for housing in London, few have the luxury of being able to afford a pretty area beside public transport and lots of amenities so some compromise is necessary. |
