Further information - Facebook posted a pre-tax loss for the year of £28.5m so there no is mystery as to why it is paying little or no corporation tax. Facebook paid its 362 UK based employees a £35.4m bonus in shares. The value of these shares will be taxable in the hands of the employees or possibly via PAYE. The hypocrisy of the Rothermere family that owns the Daily Mail is quite breath taking. Private Eye has extensively documented the complex arrangements they employ to syphon off dividends into a company called Rothermere Continuations Ltd registered in Bermuda. |
