Just read the item on the front page about the skyscraper planned for the site by Chiswick Roundabout. I'm not normally one for unthinking bashing of developers which some people on this site go in for, after all we have a housing shortage and building homes is the only way it will be solved. However, I was gobsmacked by the cheek of Galliard in the rather underhand way that they are trying to keep awareness of their mega-project in Chiswick at a low a level as possible. This must be the first time in history of property development that the public exhibition for a project is being held in a different town to the one in which it is actually being built. They are being even more shifty by giving no indication of what the height of the building is going to be. Information that this site seems to have got it hands on previously was suggesting it would be 42 storeys which would make the project THE BIGGEST RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY EVER BUILT IN THE UK according to a friend of mine who is an architect. |
