Round the World Sailing, a talk by Humphrey Walters in aid of the RNLI

Join us tonight for a fascinating talk by Humphrey Walters, successful businessman and sometime motivator to the England rugby team, where he will discuss his year out to take part in the BT Global Challenge.

In business, meetings often do not start on time, appointments are rarely punctual and colleagues are frequently late. The oceans do not wait or accept excuses – nor do most successful teams.

Humphrey found the Challenge was a demonstration of human endeavour at its highest. The highs and lows, the successes and failures and the achievement of completing such a voyage can be directly related to the behaviour and skills of the crews and their skippers.

The talk takes place at 7.30pm, Wednesday 7th October 2015, at London Corinthian Sailing Club, Linden House Upper Mall, Hammersmith W6 9TA

Tickets are £8 on the door, and all proceeds will go to the RNLI. Drinks and snacks available before and after the talk any enquiries to David_Clarke@rnli.org.uk

The RNLI has 233 lifeboat stations including four on the Thames which became operational on the 2nd January 2002. Since then the Thames lifeboats together have responded to over 5,500 calls.
