From the West London Waste Authority website: (http://westlondonwaste.gov.uk/recycling-sites/) "Household Re-use and Recycling Centres If you have rubbish that won’t fit in your bin/black sack or you want to get rid of it before your next collection you can take it to any of West London Household Re-use and Recycling Centres (HRRC’s). You can recycle lots of items at these centres and staff will be happy to help you recycle as much as possible, check what can be recycled online on or by calling your local council. Separate your recycling and general rubbish before heading to your local site and you’ll save time, if you’re not sure whether something can be recycle ask the staff at the centre. If you take your waste to a site outside the West London area you could be refused access or charged. Find your nearest household re-use and recycling centre by clicking on HRRC names below to get details of your local sites. Brent Ealing – Greenford and Acton Harrow Hillingdon – South Ruislip closed at 6pm on 31st May 2014 Hillingdon – Harefield Hounslow Richmond Charities are able to take small amounts of waste to some the recycling sites without charge, but you will need to apply for a not for profit permit before visiting the site." http://westlondonwaste.gov.uk/about-us/elected-members/ I haven't had time to use the "Search" facility for "allotment waste" and haven't searched for the size - length and diameter etc (remembering that there is often a trunk diameter for Christmas trees). I think you should contact your local Councillor because we need to know the answer as we don't want garden waste to be fly-tipped costing Council Tax Payers thousands to clean up. |
