Yes, it is the North Circular, and I didn't mention a peaceful backwater which it clearly isn't. I said it was a residential area. It's a conservation area, too. The fact is that very few drivers drive within the speed limit - as my post made clear. The camera works intermittently which is different from the camera on the other side of the road which is never on. And that explains why traffic continues to pound down the road doing anything up to and perhaps over 100mph including motorcyclists who use it as a racing track. My first comment was responding to the suggestion that the camera on the northbound side is considered to be "sneaky". It's not. It's fair game given that this is a residential area - whether or not that residential area is sliced in two by the North Circular.
