It's not a sneaky camera. It's badly needed as Gunnersbury Avenue is actually a residential area - drivers don't seem to notice or care - and others' speeding is dangerous for local residents, it shakes our houses, it adds to the pollution in the area and is extremely noisy day and throughout the night. Driving safely through a residential area is what most Chiswick residents experience - they and their homes are not at such risk. Unfortunately, it's not what Chiswick and other residents do when travelling through our residential area. The speed camera wouldn't be needed if drivers didn't break the speed limit - and some do, driving at 50, 60, 70 and more mph.
