It's not the 'more' it's the 'higher' and with Empire House this will be a white clad visual monstrosity at odds with the landscape of this part of Chiswick.

What's needed is more affordable housing to solve the shortage.

With the Empire House scheme it's only 11% given over to Affordable Housing with apartments that start at c.£995,000 - how many first time buyers could afford that price tag?

It is likely that this and the other schemes in Chiswick will mainly go to 'buy to let' overseas investors, and not to first time buyers or those with limited budgets -so how will that help solve the housing shortage in London?
