It sounds similar to this case except there is no proof that this guy planned the death of his boss and got a co-worker to carry it out. The co-worker confessed to the murder and I have seen the clip where the police say to him 'But we know you didn't do it alone, did you?' and was encouraged to be let off the death penalty in a deal that implicated the guy who is now to be put to death. Who wouldn't be tempted to share the blame if it meant you were going to live? Susan Sarandon and several other celebrities (including those involved in the film Dead Man Walking) have been trying to get him off the death penalty, to no avail. And three times now he was on the verge of being killed and they called it off right at the last minute last night because they weren't sure they had the right drugs, apparently. What mental torture to put someone through, time after time. And someone who there is no clear proof against, as the US admits, he was just implicated by the co-worker who carried out the killing who got off the death penalty. It is appalling. |
