| I'm not sure, Julian, I felt the need to leave the room for a while. I was looking at it more from the emotive point of view, rather than the medical. I work in a cancer unit so, though not dealing directly with the patients, am aware of people dying every week. I guess death, depending on one's personal experience of it, affects us in different ways. To see on the programme someone talking about their imminent death, and then seeing their dead body on the mortuary slab a few weeks later, was, for me, quite emotional. To donate one's body to science is a thought - could save a lot on funeral expenses. |
