But Branson does not own Virgin Media or even sit on the board of directors. He has a tiny tiny share stake but he does license the brand name to Liberty Gold. Same applies to the likes of Virgin trains which i think is 51% owned by stagecoach and Virgin airlines is around the same owned by Singapore Airlines. Well that was what i remember from about 4 years ago. He just licenses the brand name because it is seen as a good brand and earns millions from doing so |
