The revelation about a new high rise office block being planned for Chiswick High Road reported in the Chiswick newsletter this weekend - click here - is interesting but perhaps misses out on the bigger picture. The plot between the new Clayton Hotel extension and Gunnersbury Avenue is now sandwiched in between tall buildings. With Hounslow Council championing development of the A4 corridor this area is perhaps now the prime spot for the building of new offices. Whilst the scale wouldn't be quite the same as Chiswick Business Park, the possibility of thousands of more workers having to travel to the area does make finding a solution to the overcrowding problem at Gunnersbury Station even more urgent.
