Great day out in Gloucester. Sad to see the Japanese dream come off the rails a little, but it was always going to be tough with only 4 days rest after their Victory over the Saffers.

Scotland looked pretty solid. Their defence was immaculate and dealt extremely well with the Japanese runners. They also did what the South Africans failed to do and kept the scoreboard ticking over with 3 pointers rather than gambling on the tries from early on. When the Japanese tired, the impressive Scottish backline tore them open and got the bonus point. Bennett is proving himself to be a class act and will be on the Lions tour to New Zealand at this rate. Hardie has also proved himself worth the PR damage for Vern Cotter as he is showing himself to be outstanding.

With only 4 days until their game against the USA, it's likely that we'll see an almost completely different Scotland team line up at the weekend. As for Japan, they now have a good 10 day rest in order to really have a crack at Samoa. Looking forward to a trip to Twickenham for my first ever England V Wales game on Saturday!
