Yes, I've managed to lose 44lbs, without dieting. I walk/bike for about 40 mins. a couple of times a week, substitute low fat items- low fat creme fraiche, soya spread, filo pastry, Quorn, coconut milk etc. and watch the portion sizes. I can honestly say it was painless, and I have realised for the first time in my life that diets do not work on a permanent basis, they are a quick and temporary fix. To keep it off you need to eat properly, not faff around with weird and wonderful concoctions. I found the British Heart Foundation traffic light poster a big help. Now I can't eat too much, and before I eat I always think - 'do I really want this' and half the time I don't, surprising what you do eat out of habit. |
