| Not my area of expertise but would assume/guess the following: District line train operators are not trained to run District line trains to Northfields and there wouldn't be enough spare Piccadilly line train operators to pilot them. Also on the westbound track out of Acton Town both District and Piccadilly line trains use both tracks and District line trains going to Northfields would reduce the Piccadilly line service and there wouldn't be spare capacity at Northfields. Like I say all of that is off the top of my head. |
