| I too have been a victim of car vandalism (damage with a sharp object) in Bollo Lane. I reported it to the Police and we have a liaison officer in Southfield Ward, Simon Cole. He arranged a meeting last Wednesday night at the Bollo pub for concerned residents. I was shocked to hear how much car crime and vandalism we have in the area right now, and this goes for all the W4 area. Unfortunately, judging from the amount of cars that have damage in Bollo Lane, much of this sort of crime is going unreported. It could be the attitude of "well what will be done about it" or a fear it will push up Car Insurance premiums. The Police need us to report the Crime in order to get time lines and any patterns. I've discussed with Simon Cole the chances of temporary CCTV for the area but the Police need to show Ealing Council figures and if only a handful of affected cars are reported it does not make for a strong case to Ealing Council. This is specific to the Acton Green area but it's also a W4 wide problem covered by different police force. Hopefully they will share their information! |
