One thing you may wish to consider is whether you can hear every alarm wherever you are in the house. If you have a tall house, and you may not hear the alarm in the kitchen if you are in the loft extension with your headphones on, then a "linked" system of alarms might be a good idea. If one goes off anywhere in the house, it sets of all the other alarms on every floor. With more and more people having headphones surgically attached to their heads at all times, this may be a consideration when looking at different alarm systems. Battery alarm units cannot do this, they are standalone. |
