Julie, definitely go for the battery alarms.Mains electric alarms are expensive to fit, especially if you have to lay in extra cabling, and you still need a battery as a back up in case the power fails.The batteries usually last about a year, so make a point of changing the batteries on the same day every year.You should be able to fit the alarms you are looking for for about £50-£100 |
