Obey speed limits. I don't understand it - do they all know something I don't?. I drive along at the speed limit because I know I will get fined otherwise but I almost always have a stretch of clear road ahead and a queue of irritated drivers behind. It's guaranteed that a driver will overtake if the opportunity arises, no matter where I am driving. It's not my car's speedo because I don't own one, I'm always in a rental car. Can someone please let me know what I am missing - exactly when does the published speed limit not apply. As a follow up question I'd love to know why no-one minds that drivers exceed the speed limit and even sympathises with drivers when they do get a ticket. |
