We have a Keston boiler, fitted about 6 years ago, and have had a British Gas engineer out today, after the boiler stopped working. Amongst other things, he said that we have the wrong type of flue - it seems it is not made of MUPVC - and because of that he is going to switch the boiler off and deem the system unsafe. Does this ring any bells? We have a carbon monoxide detector and the flue can be inspected through various hatches. It would be a significant undertaking to change the flue. |
