| Karen, I used to be a whiz with this when I was younger.I used to build my own cars, but that was a very long time ago.There shouldn't be any loose wires on the track as the current was carried through the metal trackway, not unless there is a lap counter or some external additions attached.If the wire is on the underside of the track and is a very thin wire, some of the older crossover chicanes had wires connecting the two sides of the track, Can't think what else it could be.As I said, it is a very long time since I last tinkered with any scalextric |
