This scam has been going around for a number of years. My elderly grandmother was a victim (not in Chiswick) and she had her jewellery taken (mostly of sentimental value, not expensive pieces) and her purse It left her very shaken and distressed and we were fortunate that she was not harmed. After that she was never the same and it most definitely affected the quality of her life. Please pass this information onto your elderly relatives who are the ones most likely to fall victim to this crime. |
