| Why do people insist in believing that 'immigrants and refugees' are only coming here for benefits. Have you the slightest idea how much all this bounty is actually worth? No-one in their right mind would go through what some of those poor sods are going through for the measly and ever decreasing benefits in this country. So many interviewed on the news wish to complete further education and many are already qualified in specific professions, and others say over and over I just want to work. The trouble is the government, Farage and the right wing press have perpetuated this mythical picture of the U.K. and people have swallowed it - it simply isn't true. It's the same propaganda as the benefits cheats rubbish, the fact that tax cheats put anything a tiny minority fiddling the benefit system to shame doesn't seem to penetrate. Spout this cobblers often enough and loud enough and thickos think it's true. |
