Recently the resurfacing of the Pavilion car park resulted in damage to the foul water drain from the Pavilion which caused it to block and over flow twice. In unblocking it the drainage company advised us that it was the worst piece of work they had seen. I have photos. I spent 6 months trying to find out who had overseen the work and eventually had to submit an FOI to get a response. The drain was repaired without explanation, apology or reimbursement, but now the electric cable under the car park to the garages has failed, which is causing us a problem with the market. We have paid electricians to investigate and they advise that the cable has failed underground, not burnt out so some physical damage. They took away the basket swing in the play area, didn't tell us and we struggled to find it and get it back. We offered to pay for any repair it needed and were told it would be over £1000. we contacted Timber Play who make the equipment sent photos and they rehung the swing for £300. We have given them a contract to check the play equipment qtly and repair as needed to protect the equipment. Recently in a report they drew to our attention that the bark chip under the swing was too low creating a hazard. I sent the report to Carillion and a week and a half later nothing had been done, so I had to report it again. Although we share the Timberplay reports with the council and Carillion, they won't share the weekly playground checks they have done with us. And on and on it goes. |
