| As I understand it the charge for the single use carrier bag is due to come into effect in October. M&S has been charging for food carriers since 2008. Coca Cola will be increasing the amount of rPET - recycled polyethylene terephalate reducing the amount of virgin PET in their bottles. It would be good if more companies would follow suit in using more recycled content in their packaging. http://www.letsrecycle.com/news/latest-news/coca-cola-enterprises-to-reduce-virgin-plastic-use/ We still need to complain when packaging is excessive. |
