Choose reusable and you can choose the bags (or rucksack) you use, advertise your favourite charity or your chosen slogan. Reusable bags with gusset tend to stand upright instead of falling over when you when put them down and are more comfortable to carry. We have all this packaging because we just accepted it and because we didn't complain enough or hard and long enough. Our acceptance was taken as not just an agreement to it but as a desire for it. It is a great freedom not being burdened by so much and not having to sort it or bin so much of it. We used to have an undersink cupboard that carrier bags jumped out of when you opened it. We only acquire a few now and we've rearranged the cupboard. Carrying a bag within a bag works. Just reducing the number you use makes a difference. Remembering to make your bag very obvious and saying that you have a bag - and I just love it when I am asked "Do I need a bag?". Thank you to everyone who asks. |
