This happened to us at Easter. We appealed saying 1. The letter was only posted through the door with less than 1 week's notice 2. During school holidays 3. There was no other means of communication. Apparently they re surfaced the whole road, then lifted our car and parked it round the corner, to do the remaining piece under our car, attached the penalty parking notice, as they parked it in a pay and display area, rather than the residents paking side. We only knew where the car was, and what had happened, due to vigilant neighbours. The appeal was successful, so good luck to you. I just think the waste of money lifting our car, and doing the road in 2 parts, coul have been avoided by 1. More advance notice 2. Email or other contact as you say. |
