| Your point is well made but does refer to 'the weekend'. Many small businesses and restaurants cannot survive on weekend takings alone which is why, I imagine, many of them have closed or are relocating. My visits to the High Road, often rounded off with a meal at Café Rouge or some other local eatery, take place during the week to avoid the very weekend crowds whom you highlight. The 'weekday picture' is somewhat different from the magnet that the High Road becomes at weekends. |
