We had a similar problem; intermittent connection problems and had to go through all the usual steps of re-booting and resetting the modem. Tolerated this until it was happening several times a week


They installed a new modem and it's worked perfectly since. Just be aware they may try to sign you up to a new package if your contract period is up. We ended up signing up for a TiVo box and had to have a Virgin landline installed to get the best deal. Personally I find the TiVo box difficult to use.
