yes you were right Georgie then - in the acid case they were both given life sentences. however, how the one who threw the acid could only be given a 6 year minimum term is scary. he probably just did it on the other ones say so. the life bit means he will always have to have strict contact with the probation service, not leave the country without their permission and would be sent straight back to prison for any crime he commits no matter how minor it is. however, he will be able to be released once hes done 6 years. the other one will have to serve 16 years before being eligible for release. in some cases like ian huntley or sarah paynes murderer the judge will give whole life sentences which means they will never ever be released and must die in prison. ive heard awful things about men on steroids and their 'roid rages'. six years seems so low doesn't it. |
